2026-06-30 During the May Day holiday this year, 'Yangtze River', China's first large-scale fantasy acrobatic drama with the theme of the Yangtze River, opened in Chongqing International Circus City. The 10 performances in 5 days were sold out, with the number of viewers exceeding 10,000, and the online exposure of relevant information quickly exceeding 100 million. The Chongqing Acrobatic Troupe spent two years meticulously creating and arranging the performance, which showcased its 70 years of artistic accumulation and creative strength. The play is based on the ecological changes in the Yangtze River Basin from the 1990s to the present, and connects the true stories of people along the river to protect the clear water of the river. Through the in-depth integration of acrobatics, dance, magic and modern stage technology, it vividly presents the theme of the Yangtze River's ecological changes and humanistic inheritance. It combines extreme skills with modern technology, and combines innovative narratives with a visual feast to fully demonstrate the majestic, gentle and flexible character of the Yangtze River. The stage design of the play is very innovative, using a 700-square-meter giant background, with 6 projectors for simultaneous projection, and 4 projectors on the ground for interaction.
