The red rhyme has been lingering for hundreds of years, and the new voice of Cantonese opera continues its glorious chapter. On the evening of December 8, 2025, the performance 'Forever Red Line Girl - Special Performance to Commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of Red Line Girl' was held at the Guangzhou Red Line Girl Grand Theater. Nearly 300 drama masters, up-and-comers and literary and artistic workers from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and at home and abroad gathered together. It can be said that 'the courtyard is filled with the fragrance of plum blossoms, and the moon is full of flowers on this good night.' A group of Cantonese opera performers commemorated their masters with classic works, reviewed the Red School art system in a panoramic manner, and vividly demonstrated its vigorous vitality in the new era and the prosperity and development of the Cantonese opera industry.

As a benchmark figure in the Cantonese opera industry, Red Line Girl debuted on stage at the age of 13 and has been performing for more than 70 years. Based on traditional Cantonese opera, she integrated the charm of Peking opera and Kunqu opera, absorbed bel canto skills, and created a unique 'Red School' art. She also spread the fragrance of 'Southern Red Bean' Cantonese opera praised by Premier Zhou to the country and abroad, and made immortal contributions to the inheritance and promotion of Cantonese opera.

In addition to the wonderful repertoire and profound artistic feelings, the stage design of this performance also contains ingenuity, using modern technology to inject new vitality into traditional Cantonese opera performances - the core idea is to create a smart and dynamic scenery in the center of the stage, and this design is realized by relying on VDF's star product T20TC 50KG micro-ceiling with a transparent screen.

On the morning of December 5, 11 VDF_T20TC micro-cranes began to be installed. For the 1m×2m transparent screen, the on-site operator adopted an optimized solution for screen disassembly and hoisting: first complete the installation and functional debugging of the 1m×50cm screen, and then complete the erection of the remaining screens after the equipment is in stable operation. The entire installation and debugging process only took half a day.

There is a large-sized complete main screen behind the stage, and 11 small transparent screens mounted by VDF_T20TC micro-crane are suspended above the center of the stage, forming a double-layer visual structure of 'the main screen as the base and the small screens as the finishing touch'. The dynamic images on the small screen echo the main screen at the back. Whether it is the freehand landscape in the Cantonese opera scene or the emotional imagery in the red opera aria, it can achieve front-to-back linkage and a blend of reality and reality. What’s even more ingenious is that the T20TC micro-sling will never block the core content of the main screen when it lifts the small screen, making better use of the vertical space of the stage and making the overall visual level more full and three-dimensional, creating an immersive performance space with both classical charm and technological texture for the interpretation of traditional Cantonese opera.

T20TC is a breakthrough stage micro-hoisting product that the VDF team took 3 years to create and has multiple technology patents.

This product has ultra-high safety and reliability: the static load of the load-bearing line exceeds 300KG, and the lifting torque reaches more than 670 Nm. It is equipped with dual physical brakes, slack rope protection and LINK (TEAMWORK) communication anti-pull function. In emergency situations, it can be braked instantly through the emergency stop handle, ensuring all-round safety of use.

In terms of function and control, the product adopts a double hanging point and double wire design: a double hanging point and double wire structure is used to realize independent transmission of power supply and control signals. One wire provides 220V power supply, and the other wire provides DMX or RJ45 signals. It can flexibly hang LED displays or conventional stage lighting within 50 kg. During the lifting and lowering process, props can also be controlled in real time without frame drops. The signal end adopts RJ45 and DMX adaptive design, and the console can be addressed through a network cable. It is also compatible with the standard DMX512 control protocol and can be easily integrated into the standard stage lighting console for synchronous control.

From the contrast between reality and reality on the stage to the stability behind it, VDF has always adhered to the concept of serving artistic expression with technological innovation, using micro-suspension to build a creative bridge for various theatrical performances. In the future, we will continue to delve into the field of stage machinery, continue to iterate products and technologies, and help more traditional art forms break through the boundaries of expression, so that the beauty of culture can shine longer and brighter with the support of technology.
